# Autodesk Inventor Tutorial - Using Equation Curve tool This tutorial show you how to draw 2D equation curve using the Equation Curve tool in Autodesk Inventor. You will then do fully constrain to the equation curve.

1. In Autodesk Inventor 2013, click New File. 2. Click Create Sketch 2D tool. Note: You will be prompted to select the plane to work on. 3. Select the XY Plane to work on. Note: The screen will be oriented so that you are facing the XY plane now. Note: You are now in 2D Sketch mode. If you wish to do 3D operation, you must exist from the 2D Sketch mode.

4. Click the Equation Curve tool. 5. In the first text box, this is where you define the X function in term of t variable. Let x(t) bet.

In the second text box, this is where you define the Y function in term of t variable again. Let y(t) be t in the power of 2, i.e. t^2. tmin and tmax are the range of the t, also x in this case because x=t. Let tmin be -1 and tmax be 1. 6. If you just wish to plot x from 0 to 1. Set tmin be . 7. I wish to model a plate. So, i multiply 0.2 to the y function.
